What is recipedio? It's a collaborative project to produce a complete encyclopedia of food knowledge. Working together, we can create a free, simple, and accessible encyclopedia of ingredients, recipes and cooking techniques. Our goal is to make food fun, find interesting things to eat, and help answer that age old question "What's for dinner?" Each recipe, or ingredient article can be edited or improved by anyone. We are always looking for people to add more recipes or ingredient information, so I hope you join us and find some good stuff. Log in to add recipes to your personal recipe book, do meal planning, and create grocery lists.

Our philosophy

We assume good faith edits, so all pages are open to edit. This might lead to "bad" or silly things happening, but that's okay. Nothing is permanent and we believe a culture of openness is more important. Try to be friendly, and try to keep it food related.

What does it mean to be free?

Free seems to mean a bunch of things to various different people, here it means that we don't want to track you, and we don't want to sell you anything. Those aren't things that help us further our goal, they take time away from that.

Recipe of the Day

This bread uses a small amount of yeast, and lets time do the work. This means you don't need to kneed it as often, and generates a tastier flavor profile.
